Yoga with Sarah Ruby

Happy accident!!! 🙈

Class tonight took a turn and we ended up having class outside at Fewell Park. I can’t tell you how much joy I had practicing in the gentle breeze, with birds around us as the sun set this evening.

Shout out to my yogi fam for going with the flow and enjoying the practice together!

This is why I do teach! ♥️

I don’t know about you, but sometimes even the things I do to take care of myself start feeling like another thing on my to-do list. 😂

Between work, home, responsibilities, and everything in between, it can feel like there’s always something else that needs to get done.

But maybe we don’t need to finish everything before we give ourselves permission to slow down.

Sometimes an hour of yoga is exactly what I need. Other times it’s reading a book, painting, or sitting on the couch doing absolutely nothing.

Whatever it looks like for you, I hope you make a little space for it this week. 💛

✨ WEDNESDAY YOGA! ✨ Once a month we will be moving over to Wednesdays 5:30pm class at Fewell Park!

If you're a planner like I am, here are all current class days until the end of the year! (End in sight apparently?!)

Maybe you have been interested in coming to class but can't on Thursdays... here is your chance to come on over and give it a shot! Reminder: We are INSIDE at these locations!

✨Wednesdays & Thursdays at Fewell Park Recreation Center @ 5:30pm
✨Saturdays at Northside Recreation Center @ 11am

I am so thankful for my Fewell Park peeps and my yogi friends for accommodating this change as I take part in a career opportunity for my day time teaching job.

Growth begins where comfort ends…

I realize there is no ice in this ice bath, but trust me when I say it was COLD.

Not pictured: The sauna I ran straight into afterward 😅

Enjoy this behind-the-scenes look at me prepping for class, featuring being partially out of frame for a good portion of the video while I continue to figure out how to use my tripod. 🙈

But ALSO featuring one of my favorite things about our Fewell Park Rec Center location, that beautiful view! There is something so special about getting to practice with all that nature right outside the windows.

Before class, I also set out our intention cards. You’re always welcome to choose one as you come in and let it be your little buddy for class. Maybe the message is exactly what you need that day, or maybe it simply gives your mind somewhere to return when it starts to wander.

And, of course, you’ll see me almost forget one VERY important part of class, the speaker. 😂 Because your yoga instructor is apparently also your DJ, and I take our carefully curated yoga playlists very seriously!
