Ben Gutenberg SYC RJCC Much 💞 to all!! So excited for another season to host the Ben Gutenberg SYC and RJCC!! To register: https://member.usafencing.org/details/tournaments/12083

This tournament is dedicated to the memory of Ben Gutenberg, who fenced with the Rochester Fencing Club from grade school until beginning college and who passed away in 2007 when he was eighteen years old. Ben was passionate about fencing from the very beginning, and loved training, competing in tournaments, and socializing with the many friends he had at the club. He was friendly with everyone, and was called “Benji” (Ben G.) to differentiate him from another fencer with the same first name. The times he spent at the Rochester Fencing Club were some of the happiest moments of his life. Ben passed away on November 27, 2007, from injuries sustained in an auto accident while traveling to a tournament with the College of William and Mary fencing team.
