StreamWalker Nets

StreamWalker Nets StreamWalker Nets creates handmade wood landing nets. We have several models to choose from or we ca StreamWalker Nets are hand built in Rochester, NY.

It all began when my fishing pals and I could not find a net that we liked that was built specifically for the wading Steelhead fishermen. Something that was sufficient in size to land our large lake run fish, but that was also easy to carry while hiking in to our favorite spots. Along the way I also decided that I should also make other sizes as well, and the "InLand" net was born. For a long tim

e I have worked on handle shapes, hoop sizes, and different finishes while testing them out on the stream. Myself and a few fishing buddies have used the nets for many of our fishing excursions. Through trial and error I have refined them into very usable and fish friendly hand nets. They are built using rich Black Walnut as the hoop and nicely figured Curly Maple handles. Most of our wood spent its life growing in the forests that surround our beautiful Finger Lakes region and have been milled and dried to be worked into pieces that will last for generations . I can also customize the wood selections for the buyer, depending on the availability. I can also do fully custom nets for those that want the truly "one-off" net. As we evolve from here I plan to add many different nets to our lineup as we see a need in the market for high quality handmade nets. Thank you for taking the time to look at my work. Please don't hesitate to let me know what you think or if you have any questions. Thank you all for your support. Tight Lines! Leif Mermagen

We had a blast seeing everyone today. Thanks so much to all the people that came out to see us and our products. Lots of familiar faces and many new ones. I’ve missed these gatherings the last couple years. It gets me pumped up to feel that energy again. We may have to make this an annual thing. What do you think? 🤙🏻🤙🏻
