A historic season for the young Finnish forward! Konsta Helenius sets a new single-season record for most points by an Amerk under the age of 20 with 63 points (21 goals, 42 assists) in the 2025-26 season, breaking the previous record of 54 points set by Jozef Cierny in 1992-93.
 
Along with the new record, Helenius scored in the AHL regular season, NHL regular season, AHL playoffs, NHL playoffs and World Championship in this most recent season. He made his NHL debut with the vs Carolina in January, and the following night scored his first NHL goal as part of a three-point outing at Nashville. He also notched his second professional natural hat trick with the Amerks against Hartford in March.

Rochester Americans forward and Buffalo Sabres prospect Konsta Helenius was front and center in the hockey world stage on Sunday after scoring the golden goal in overtime to clinch a 1-0 victory for Leijonat.fi in its gold medal game against host Switzerland to bring a close to the 2026 International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Championship. 🏆🤩
