“Movement - something that has not always been a positive experience for me, something that solely use to be focused around weight loss.

Over the last couple of years, I have prioritized healing that relationship and learning how to celebrate my body for what it is, move it in a way that focuses on what my body is capable of while removing weight loss expectations.

I am so thankful for studios like Jazzercise for providing a safe and empowering space for people to move their bodies. While I was healing my relationship with movement, I was afraid of going to workout classes because I didn’t want to hear messaging that would send me back into my old unhealthy ways.

I don’t have to worry about that at Jazzercise — it’s not about how many calories you burn or what physical changes you are making to your body but instead about CELEBRATING your body and celebrating YOU as a person.
