☀️Another Sunday Spotlight rolling in!☀️

Everyone meet Millie, an Unassisted Mini Barrel Racer! Millie is new to NER this season but she placed 3rd for the season with her horse Mesa. She’s not afraid to put in the work, watch her compete at our finals show on October 3rd🏇🏻

“Hi!! My name is Millie and I turned 11 this summer! 🩷 I’m a homeschooler and I’m OBSESSED with animals! 🐴🐰🐐

I’ve been riding horses for about 3 years, and this is my FIRST year running barrels in the rodeo! I always loved watching Kai run in the past and really wanted to try it myself this year!

Wendy found Mesa for me back in March, and we bonded pretty much instantly! ❤️

I had been riding some VERY naughty horses before Mesa 😂 and he had never run barrels before me! We’ve been learning together and working almost every day to build our confidence and figure this whole barrel racing thing out.

I honestly didn’t have any big expectations for this season. I just wanted to get experience, have fun, and learn as much as I could!

Mesa had a really hard time coming into the chute in the beginning. It took a whole TEAM to help us get into that arena. Our very first night our time was a 34.629!

This week we ran a 19.749!!! 😱🤯

WE ARE MAKING PROGRESS!!!

And somehow… WE PLACED 3RD IN OUR DIVISION!!! 🥉😭❤️

I seriously can’t believe it!!! I’m so proud of Mesa and how far we’ve come together. This is just the beginning and I can’t wait to see what we can do next! 🐴💨❤️ “
