Opening Day is on the way! Soldiers Field GC will be opening at 9:00 am this Saturday (yes, we know it could rain but we're ready!). Carts will be allowed if we don't have significant rain in the meantime. Tee time reservations are required and may be made by phone (281-6176) beginning at 12:00 noon this Friday.

Eastwood GC plans to open its driving range this Monday, the Front 9 (only) Tuesday, and the full 18 holes on Friday. Hadley Creek GC plans to open their golf course and driving range at 10:00 am this Monday. Northern Hills GC has more drying out needed but hopes to be open on or around April 1.

It's an exciting time of year for many golfers, and all of the golf staff service are glad to be a part of it. Our Covid19 safety protocols will begin this season much as it ended last fall, with guidelines in place (and available for view on the web at RochesterMnGolf.com) for all golfers. We expect these guidelines to be modified as the season progresses, but we'll always follow or exceed State guidelines to provide a safe golf experience for everyone.

We hope for good weather and to see many early season golfers soon!

Here We Go Again! With Northern Hills GC scheduled to open Wednesday and Hadley Creek GC scheduled to open Friday, getting out to golf is about to get a lot easier.

Also making golf easier will be our switch to 10 minute tee times instead of 12 minute. We are also now accepting cash or check for payment. More changes will happen in the coming months, we'll continue to adjust and improve our golf operations as best we can, without compromising safety standards as they evolve.

Our complete COVID 19 Golf Guidelines are available on the front page of our website at Rochestermngolf.com. They're written to be informative and helpful. Golfers are among the luckiest of all who enjoy physical activity and social interaction during these unusual times. Our game can still be played and enjoyed safely. Social distancing on the golf course can now be a virtue, or a good way to explain a sliced tee shot!

Please tell your friends, tell your family, tell your co-workers, tell your neighbors, tell anyone you can that this is a great year to be a golfer at your Rochester City golf courses.

Governor Tim Walz has signed an executive order allowing Minnesota golf courses to open, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll be open this weekend.
