Every year as we prepare for the winter training season we ensure our turf is cleaned and groomed to ensure a safe and even playing surface.

Another important thing we do is have our fields GMAX tested every few years. It is reported that 24% of concussions in the NFL result from a player's head making contact with the playing surface. To protect our athletes we constantly monitor our MAX rating so we can prevent injuries to our athletes. Currently, the AST F1936-10 specificaiton requires that the average max of the second and third drops at a single test point shall not exceed 200 average GMAX. Our fields are tested in 10 different places on the field and scores ranged between 118-170 with an average of 155.25. If your child is playing on turf fields that are not regularly checked for their GMAX rating or score about a 200, they are at increased risk of injury.

The Regional Sports Center still has open availability for these upcoming Fall and Winter months. Our indoor turf facility is perfectly suitable for soccer, lacrosse, baseball, and softball. The dimensions of the turf are 40x28 yards in addition with fully-lined protective netting surrounding the playing surface. We take pride in making sure our facility runs at the highest level to enhance performance, which is why our turf is GMAX tested and certified for the prevention of concussions and other injuries. Hello all. I am excited to inform everyone that the turf at the RSC is now completely finished and the manufacture defects are fixed. We have also added new lines to the turf, including goalie boxes and a center circle. As always the Genrich Athletic Group is committed to providing the safest and best conditions for our community. We hope to see everyone back out enjoying the turf this week.

The Genrich athletic group would like to let everyone know that we are working hard to provide the cleanest and most sanitary facilities for the safety of all of our customers. We have found a manufacturers defect in the turf and will be removing it from February 15th to 19th, as this is the week that is out of everyones contracts. We are planning on re-opening February 20th.
