Rochester School of Martial Arts

ZMA offers students of all martial arts the opportunity to deepen their martial arts practice from just a sport or workout to a true philosophical and spiritual path. The aim is to help people see that martial arts is more than just fighting in a ring, breaking boards and bricks, winning trophies, and getting belts. We don't want you to simply train in martial art

s or even to practice martial arts. Our hope is that you learn to STUDY martial arts. We help you interpret the principles you learn in your own school, so that you can bring valuable change to your day to day life.

It’s important to surround yourself with people who lift you up, motivate you to become better, and fuel you with positive energy.

At the dojo, we foster a community of people who push each other harder, inspire one another, and look out for each other.

That’s why our classes include people of all different levels of experience because we understand the significance of learning from those who have more knowledge than us. They help us grow and improve ourselves.

You may come to our school to get in shape & learn self-defense but you’ll gain so much more than that. Joining our community means joining a group of people who share your goals and aspirations to improve their lives.
