Spaulding wrestling participated in the New England championships in Providence R.I. on Saturday & Sunday. Spaulding had strong performance from all 4 qualifiers.

In the boys division, Jayden Deal (150lbs) and Wesley Chesser (285lbs) each won 2 matches. Deal had a huge win against the 150lbs NH state champ, Ben Walton of Goffstown. Deal won by a score of 18-4, which punched Deals ticket to the second day of wrestling.

In the girls division, Sadie Nadeau (165lbs) and Mackenzie LaCoss (152lbs) both placed tops in their division. Sadie Nadeau finished 4th place, improving from her placement last year of 6th. LaCoss advanced all the way to the semi-finals, but a rib injury forced her to medical forfeit the remainder of her matches, she finished 6th place for the second year in a row.

Wrestlers from Spaulding, Exeter, and Portsmouth won a state championship at their respective weight classes on Sunday.

🤼 Spaulding had a great day at the JV State Championship, at Timberlane High School. The following athletes placed:
⭐️138lbs Drew Reilly, freshman - 6th place
⭐️157lbs - Jaziah Poulin, Sophomore - 4th place
⭐️285lbs - Aiden Nadeau, freshman - 6th place

Spaulding had a handful of wrestlers that won matches and were one match away from placing:
138lbs Gannon Hoban, Freshman
157lbs Moses Smith, Sophomore
215lbs Roland Grillo, Sophomore
215lbs Sully Pederson, Sophomore
285lbs Wander Hernandez, Freshman

🤼 Spaulding wrestling attended the Timberlane invitational on Saturday. The tournament consisted of many of the top wrestling schools from NH, MA, & VT. The following Red Raiders placed:

GIRLS DIVISON:
🥇152lbs Mackenzie LaCoss - 1st place CHAMPION
🥇165lbs Sadie Nadeau - 1st place CHAMPION

CO-ED DIVISION:
⭐️150lbs - Jayden Deal - 6th place
⭐️190lbs - Maverick Hope - 4th place
🥉285lbs - Wesley Chesser - 3rd place
