Here are a few tips:
❌ predetermined shots
❌ sprinting to the ball with no awareness of defense
❌Sprinting at one speed

✅ Reading defender at the point of the screen …is he/she trailing, jumping the screen, or stuck behind the screen?
âś…Be patient, the play is for you which means it should happen at your pace
âś… Change your speeds as you set your defender up away from the ball

In today’s we’re holding our defender off and exploding to the basket at our pace. This is great for scoring but also great for drawing two defenders and making a great pass with two feet in the paint.

Turning down a ball screen can be forced or a preference. Either way, be prepared as the ball handler to make an under control move with pace to get you going in the opposite direction of the screen.
