I feel like summer league excitement is like pre-season football excitement. You have your young players going up against other young players and not seeing what they can do against seasoned veterans or top talent. The fun part about the Knicks summer team roster though is that you aren’t looking for any of these players to be starters right now, you need them to improve day by day and show growth....

The Knicks main issue this season was the point guard position. Elfrid Payton was bad, Derrick Rose was best coming off the bench in a 25 minutes per game role and the other options like Frank Ntilikina, Alec Burks and RJ Barrett all serve better on off the ball roles. So, the key prize this off-season will be a starting point guard who can elevate everyone around him....
