CONGRATULATIONS, EVANGELINE FISHER-PALMER!

Rochester School for the Deaf is proud to announce that Evangeline Fisher-Palmer has been selected as the National Deaf Interscholastic Athletic Association (NDIAA) Division II Athlete of the Year for the 2025-2026 school year.

A three-sport student-athlete in Volleyball, Basketball, and Track & Field, Evangeline demonstrated outstanding dedication, leadership, sportsmanship, and excellence throughout the year. Her commitment both on and off the field has made her a tremendous role model for the RSD community.

Congratulations, Evangeline, on this incredible achievement. We are extremely proud of you and all that you have accomplished!

We are excited to announce that Rose Crisman has been selected as the new Head Coach for the Varsity Girls Volleyball Team at Rochester School for the Deaf.

Rose brings valuable experience and dedication to our athletic program. She played both Right Side and Outside Hitter positions for the RIT Volleyball Club for four years and has also served as the Assistant Coach for the Varsity Girls Basketball Team here at RSD. In addition, she recently coached our Track and Field team, where she built strong and positive connections with our student-athletes through her leadership, encouragement, and commitment.

We are confident that Rose will bring great energy, passion, knowledge, and mentorship to the volleyball program, and we look forward to an exciting and successful season ahead.

Last weekend, on April 11, 2026, our Wildcats traveled to Riverside, CA to compete against other Deaf schools from across the country. We brought five student-athletes to participate in the Berg and Seeger Classic.

It was a valuable experience for all of us, and we are looking forward to a great 2026 season.

Thank you to the California School for the Deaf, Riverside for hosting the Berg and Seeger Classic.

We have additional National Deaf Interscholastic Athletic Association (NDIAA) recognition to share: Ley Stuhlberg was selected as a Second Team All-American. In addition, three RSD athletes earned Honorable Mention: Brooklyn Christensen, Derrick Sickler, and Gary Youngblood.

We are proud to be recognized by the National Deaf Interscholastic Athletic Association for an incredible season. Our Girls Varsity Basketball team earned the title of NDIAA Division II National Champions.

We are also honored to celebrate individual achievements, as Evangeline Fisher-Palmer was named Player of the Year, and Charles Palmer was recognized as Coach of the Year.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the Rochester Wildcats community for their continued support, pride, and commitment to our program.

This recognition means a great deal to us, and we are truly grateful to NDIAA for organizing and supporting such a meaningful and competitive experience for our student-athletes.

We look forward to building on this success and continuing the tradition of excellence in the seasons ahead.
