Rochester Armored Combat

Rochester Armored Combat We train for the sport of armored combat, also called buhurt or "knight fights". Team training is Friday evenings at 6PM and Saturday morning at 9PM.

Full-speed, full-force, unscripted fights with steel swords, axes, and halberds. Our members compete in leagues including Armored Combat Sports as the Corsairs, and Armored Combat Worldwide as the Rogue Knights. We love new people and we're happy to introduce anyone to the sport! You do NOT need to have your own armor or weapons to train with us. Most of the time, we train without armor using ligh

t foam weapons to practice technique and avoid injury. New members should spend a few months learning the sport before buying their own armor and weapons.

Will has been training with us since 2023 and had his first competition earlier this year, and now stands on top of a podium for the first time. Probably not the last time, the guy is tough.

Great showing for our competitors at the Arnold Classic in Columbus Ohio!

Michael Sloma took 2nd place in sword & buckler, falling to Nicholas Homa in the finals
Max Fuller made a statement in his first tournament, taking 5th in longsword

And our Ithaca friends crushed it too with Sam Awry taking 1st place in longsword and Dmitri Tyurmin got 3rd place polearm.

Congratulations to all the medalists & participants!

The grind never stops and training resumes this week. As always, all levels of experience are welcome, if you want to learn to fight with swords and axes, we've got fight and we've got swords and axes.
