Huge congratulations to Maya Chernolutskiy on being named the 2026 AAU Michigan Athlete of the Year. 🏆👏

Maya continues to show what dedication, discipline, and heart look like every day on the mat. As a first-year Junior athlete and a proud member of the Amateur Athletic Union Olympic Sparring National Team, she has already achieved what many athletes spend years chasing.

This recognition reflects more than just wins and medals. It reflects:
relentless work in training commitment to improving every day
leadership among teammates respect and sportsmanship on and off the mat

Maya represents everything that makes our team proud. She pushes herself, supports her teammates, and sets the standard for the younger athletes who look up to her.

Being named Michigan Athlete of the Year is a major honor, and it is well deserved. Your hard work, focus, and determination continue to raise the bar.
