It’s always hard to find words to wrap up these weekends, but this one especially!!!! For several seasons, this event has become a weekend full of connection, deep camaraderie, and being surrounded by many other talented studios we’ve created special bonds with over the years. Watching our kids get to see their friends that they only see at this one event every year feels like the nostalgia of a sleep away summer camp. There isn’t another event in our season where our kids are as concerned about watching others and prioritizing connection. Phones are down and the social battery is charged. To our beloved AOM Mobile Studios…you are our rocks! The supportive and consistent atmosphere we have created for these kids to grow up in, is showing in ways we never expected beyond dance. We share ideas, struggles, and solutions all throughout the year. It’s become a place to be 100% us. No one feels the need to be anyone other than themselves. There is real belief in differences being what sets us apart in the most beautiful ways. We celebrate it big on this weekend each season! The hugs are endless and the positive reinforcement between everyone is unmatched by anything we’ve ever been a part of. The AOM Faculty clearly facilitates this too by promoting love and authenticity, while constantly reminding the kids how small of a world this is and the importance of finding and encouraging your people. When you hear kids talking about how much they LOVED and craved the “tough moments” are when you know they’re in a safe place with people who really care. At least for our kids, they crave correction, being invested in, and told candidly what they need to work on to make a bigger impact. The openness and vulnerability offered makes it all so much more fun and helps them be more willing to put in the work. Once again, this weekend has done all the things it needed to do in such an organic way! Our hearts are open and full. Thank you AOM!!!!!!
