Josh Huss claims round 1, pockets $1500!

Following an intense battle with Harold Florida’s JC Wilson in his orange and black #02 Longhorn Chassis, Josh parked the #25 xr1 in victory lane to notch the win.

Rounding out the podium was Steven Jernigan in his familiar #24 CVR chassis.

Isaiah Day made the call, but exited the race early as his 5.3 LS Powered #99 Rocket Chassis experienced heating issues.

It was a night where mechanical failures plagued the evening with 4 drivers falling away due to parts failures, everything from broken fuel pumps to broken power steering pumps and heating issues.

Among the 7 entrants, 2 sealed Crate engines, 2 LS Engines and three all steel 362 inch engines comprised the field, with a crate engine taking home round one.

Competitors also noted that the d55 felt very different but surprisingly stable on the RR.

True limited late model racing has returned to the Gulf Coast, and we’d love to have you join in on the action, if you haven’t already… make plans to join us for our next event.

The next event for the series will be a $1200 to win bout on April 22nd at Tri-County Speedway.

For more information or series rules, please contact Isaiah at 251-359-5927

ADRL Official series announcement, Purse, Schedule and Points fund.

Robertsdale, AL
February 3, 2023

Series owners Chuck and Isaiah Day are pleased to announce the Inaugural American Dirt Racing League Late Model Series. The following release will include our Schedule, Purses, Race formats and points fund structure.

We hope that this organization will allow weekly late model teams the chance to compete for competitive purses, lower entry fees and a competitive points fund.

We need to tackle the other issues at hand within the sport as well, simply throwing money at something doesn’t always fix the problem, the rising costs of engines and cars are one such issue.

With the introduction of the 5.3 LS to the local racing market we hope to tackle one issue that we absolutely can control as racers, engine costs. By creating a platform for the 5.3, sealed GM/CRUSA 604 and the tried and true 362 CID all iron Chevrolet engines, we look to put the power back into the people’s hands.

With crate engine costs pushing 10-12 thousand dollars for a “blue printed and dyno tuned package” we’ve now gone past the original intent of the class. Car counts have suffered everywhere, when only a few can afford to repair or buy engines, only a few will show up. Where 15 car fields were the norm, now we have 8,7 and even 5 car Feature events.

This is not what fans, promoters or serious racers want to see, something has to change. All to often it’s scary to take that first leap of faith, that jump off the edge and try something different. As a family, weve decided we’re taking the leap. We want to start finding answers to the questions. “How do we get the cars back that parked up due to costs?”, “How can we afford to keep doing this?” and most importantly, “How do we get new drivers to join our ranks?”.

We don’t believe we have all the answers, but we do believe some of the answers can be found here. These are the some of the solutions we’ve decided to build our platform around.

9-12 series races per year.
Inclusive, not exclusive motor rules.
Freedom of choice as to what you spend.
Slow introduction of harder tire compounds( RR must be D55 or 1600 this season).
Competitive purses and points funds.

So here it goes, it’s a long read, but we’re glad you’re Interested in what we’re trying to do! If any of you have questions please feel free to message us here, or Isaiah at 251-359-5927.

Our Schedule will consist of 9 events as of now, all at Tri County Speedway. However, we are open to the idea of taking this show on the road. If you’re interested in booking a touring Late Model show that won’t break your bank account, and own a facility within 3-4 hours of the mobile/pensacola market area, please contact us! We have two purse structures to choose from and a very reasonable sanction fee.

Points Fund and pay back.

A competitor must participate in at least 90 percent of the events to receive points monies, the “Elite Eight” top eight points finisher will receive prize money. The Championship points purse will be as follows;

1. $1000
2. $800
3. $700
4. $500
5. $400
6. $300
