Team Salty Paws had a special little visitor today: Reaper the Papillon!

Reaper is a tiny guy, at just about 4 pounds, so we invited him over for his first pool experience in an environment smaller than a competition dock.

He did so well! He may be tiny, but he is big brave! He seemed to have a ton of fun! With time and patience, I bet he will one day jump off the deck by himself! Both of his parents actually dock dive.... maybe he will eventually too!

Can't wait to have you back, Reaper!

Silver lining!

Tail Waggin Events is back to being a United Dock Diving facility 🙌🏻

It is unfortunate that things didn't work out with NADD, but we are very happy to be able to jump with UDD again!

Sabrina Grace has already earned a triple threat invite to year end finals for UDD (aka the Championship). We are so excited that we will be able to use them now!

We are HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE,
We are partnering back up with UDD for our Dock Diving events.
Our 2026 event Dates are as follows:
July 10th, 11th, 12th
August 21th, 22th, 23th
September 11th, 12th, 13th Year End Finals
October 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 2027 event.

This unfortunately means there is not a NADD facility within a reasonable distance to us now (I've already planned to stick closer to home this summer for a variety of reasons). I will keep an eye out for any mobile dock events that may show up on the schedule to continue our journey with this league.

I'd be lying if I said I'm not disappointed, but we look forward to whatever the future may hold for Tail Waggin Events and wish Dar and Jimmy the best of luck! We will continue to practice dock and participate in barnhunt there for sure!

This past weekend, Sabrina and I competed with North America Diving Dogs - NADD at the Philadelphia Navy Yard as part of the America 250 celebration.

WHAT A GREAT WEEKEND!

Central K9 /NE Mobile Dock ran a wonderful event and, as always, everyone is so friendly! Thank you!

Sabrina and I have really been struggling lately with her holding her sit/stay. We had 8 opportunities topside for distance at this event and I used them to maybe try out some different things, tweak, and see what was working and what wasn't. Thing is, you can rent docks and practice as much as you want, but a trial environment will always be different. Thank you to friends who offered some ideas while watching us this weekend! We ended up with one junior Q and 7 senior Qs. The big news is....

💖 SABRINA HAD NADD PERSONAL BESTS IN BOTH DISCIPLINES THIS WEEKEND! 💖

Our very last jump of the event was 18'2, which is a new PB for this league!

On Saturday, we also participated in hydrodash (speed) and our first run was a PB of 16.233 seconds! And that was with only having seen the brand new HD bumper for literally a minute right before the event (thank you SO much, Jamie, for letting us borrow yours!) Unfortunately, I didn't have anyone to grab video.

Thank you to Heather, Anastasia and my mom for getting videos this weekend.

We wish this was an annual event! The location was great, the Marine Parade Grounds were beautiful, everything was clean and ran smoothly!

Yesterday and today, the girls and I put in the miles to complete the first annual On Point virtual 5K to benefit Pointer Rescue, Organization!

Sabrina and I did most of the miles while at the Philadelphia Navy Yard for a dock diving competition! We came across some neat things!

Ellie has MANY virtual 5Ks under her collar. We started doing them in 2020 "with" friends to stay active and keep connected. (Kayla had completed all of those with us as well) She completed most of those in one shot and did some running. At almost 13 now and with several medical conditions, her stamina is limited. But she refused to be left out and contributed the last little bit by walking at home!

We specifically walked for our friend, Rosé, whom I have shared here before.... we are happy to report, she has been foster failed! The Liver Killers at Cello's Corner have adopted her!

But we also have SO many other friends (including several other Liver Killers) who have had their lives saved by PRO. This organization helps SO many dogs nationwide and does so much amazing work! They rely on our donations and we are happy to support them!

Sitting here (sort of) watching 6abc Action News when I suddenly caused mass chaos by yelling "IT'S KEVIN! 🦩 AND SAFFY AND RINN!" Team Elegant Chaos representing old dogs on the dock and on the Philly news!

We hope you did well today and we can't wait for our turn tomorrow and Sunday!

Opening Day!

Finally! A month late, but worth it for this beautiful new liner!

Not the prettiest opening day video.... seems when you tell them "no, not yet!" for like a month, they're not quite sure how to handle being given the ok 🤣

This was last night. After I'd stopped the video, Ellie ran back up with gusto and did a big jump in and several laps. And Sabrina immediately flipped back into obsessed mode 😂 it's officially summer!

Unfortunately, when I removed our winter cover last month, the water had dropped to about 30" and I found at least 2 holes.

After posting to my personal page about the situation, dock friend Jamie Link chimed in to suggest CnD'S Installers to take care of liner replacement after using them several times for their home pool.

I got in contact with them, they explained what materials I would need to buy, good brands to look for and a trustworthy site with quick shipping to check out. We scheduled an appointment for the install for a week later.

The team arrived this morning (early actually! 🙌🏻) removed and hauled away the old liner, replenished and resmoothed our sand bottom, installed the wall foam, liner, new skimmer and return, cleaned up after themselves, started filling and were done in maybe 90 minutes!

By all accounts at this time, very happy with their services and employees!

Now, we wait.... forever... for about 6,000 gallons of water to fill the pool 🤣 (using our home hoses, no water delivery)

I finally got in our home pool today!

To be the crazy lady vacuuming an empty pool 🤣

You did not miss a post.... I removed our winter cover on Mother's Day to find holes in our liner. I knew something was up when our level dropped to maybe 30"

This is the latest we've ever not been open! The installers come tomorrow to replace the liner with a brand new 30g and some wall foam 🙌🏻

There's an extra charge if they have to remove any remaining water or debris, so I took care of that part after work today.
