Humbled by the mountain bike talent at this race, especially in my 50-59 field. I would say this was harder than Unbound 200. Stayed consistent around 50th +/- 5 places, but the climbs hit me hard at 75 miles in, the course had 24 miles of pavement, with a very hard climb up around Turquoise Lake. The race is pricey, but worth every penny on how the staff at Lifetime treat every rider like a pro from course marshals to neutral feed to the announcer at the finish. And thanks to my wife Sarah and Clark who came out to not only support, but also enjoyed Colorful Colorado.

Things to Know About Registration:

USA Cycling License Required:
All participants must have a valid USA Cycling license. If you have an annual license you will use that. If not, don't fret, there is a one day license option available.

Individual Registration:
The first 50 people to sign up will pay only $75 in each distance. After that, prices will increase as more people sign up. Here's the pricing breakdown:

1-50: $75 + USAC fees
51-100: $100 + USAC fees
101-150: $110 + USAC fees
151-200: $125 + USAC fees
201 and up: $150 + USAC fees
Duo & Tandem Teams:
The first 10 teams to register will pay $150. After that, the price increases to $175.

Free Event T-Shirt: The first 100 registrants will receive a free event t-shirt! After that, shirts can be purchased during registration.
T-shirt order deadline: May 1st.

Registration Cutoff:
The final day to register is June 7th at 11:59 p.m. This is also the last day that anyone on the waitlist will have a chance to be swapped in to race.

The cold temperatures have only been around for a couple weeks, but we’re already dreaming of warmer days!

And the warmer the days get, the closer it’ll be to race day!

I raced this exact model bike back in college for Penn State: 1988 Miyata 912 with triple butted splined tubing, made in Japan, with Shimano 600 7s indexed SIS downtube shifters, 52/42 BioPace rings with a 12-22 cluster. I sold the original to a new local rider in 1995, wish I never did, so last year I found this bike in NC on Craigslist, all original except tires. Smooth as glass, responsive and will be using this in some crits later in April.
