Hello all. Who knew that self protection would have to do with a virus this year? I train people in threat mitigation as my career, but I am learning all the time that (as I tend to say) my fighting ability has little to do with my overall safety.

What does my safety rely on, then? My adaptability. My clear head. Information.

In the COVID 19 spread that we are seeing right now, it is imperative that we do what is in front of us. The CDC gives data. Your local government is developing strategy. The information we get on the news (small doses, please) tells us to focus on hygiene and, in most areas, cancel large groups to reduce the immediate effects in localities.

These are all sensible measures! Please do follow guidelines and take suggestions seriously, but DO NOT awfulize this situation. How can we take advantage of being home? How can we benefit from a break in routine?

This is not the end of days, this is proof that we are not in control. How I respond to what comes my way says everything about the results I get.

Please don't buy more than you need, and please do help those affected by a temporary shutdown. If your neighbors and community are ok, we are all ok.
