Some awesome racing is happening this week, and we're so glad our local community is supporting these riders from all over the nation at these NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS! Cross Country starts tomorrow at Explore Park, and we're in need of a few more volunteers!

Wow, what a great first day of racing- and our VOLUNTEERS were AMAZING! You all showed up, stuck it out through the rain, and showed some great Virginia's Blue Ridge hospitality to all the racers and their families- THANK YOU!

Now, on to the rest of the week of USA Cycling National Championships racing- we have Short Track in PLAY Roanoke's Elmwood Park Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday, then we round out the week Friday-Sunday with Cross Country at Explore Park. We still need lots of volunteers for each of these, so you still have plenty of opportunity to be in the middle of the action!

Biggest Needs:
🚩Course Marshals - any day, any time slot
🚘Parking - especially at Explore Park!
💪Production - Wednesday-Saturday at Explore Park
🧍‍♂️Male Anti-Doping Chaperone - Saturday
🚲Course Setting - Friday-Sunday mornings at Explore Park
💪Event Breakdown - Sunday afternoon!

We're getting excited... and need more volunters! If you don't do it for the shirt, do it for the whistle! 😗

The races bring in riders from all over the United States and their families. The event generates millions in tourism dollars, and adds to the credibility of the region as a cycling destination.

🚵 Volunteers Needed for USA Cycling Endurance Mountain Bike National Championships!

The nation's best mountain bikers are coming to Virginia's Blue Ridge, and we need your help to make this championship happen!

We're looking for volunteers all week, July 12-19 with our biggest needs being:
• Course Marshals
• Parking
• Anti-Doping Chaperones
• Production
• Setup & Breakdown

No experience? No problem. We'll make sure you know exactly what to do before your shift.

You'll get an official volunteer shirt, snacks, and a front-row seat to one of the biggest cycling events in the country. Plus, you'll get to spend a few hours looking very official. 😏

If you love supporting great events in our community, this is a great chance to pitch in and help showcase Virginia's Blue Ridge on a national stage.

Grab a shift (or two!) and help us make Nationals unforgettable!
