Gi and no-gi are both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu — but the grips, clothing and pace can feel completely different.

GI
• Jacket, pants and rank belt
• Collar and sleeve grips
• More friction and grip fighting

NO-GI
• Rashguard with grappling shorts or spats
• Underhooks, wrist control and body locks
• More movement and fewer fabric-based controls

Which should you train? Try both, learn what transfers and keep showing up.

Good hygiene is part of being a good training partner.

Trim your nails. Respect the shoe line. Cover cuts. Bring clean, fully dry gear. Empty and air out your bag after every session. And when something seems off, know when to sit the round out.

These are the unwritten rules that protect the whole room.

Your belt changes. Your backpack can change with it.

Pick your Graded backpack color, then match it with rank straps for your current BJJ belt. When you rank up, swap the straps instead of replacing the bag.
