Float Fishermen of Virginia - Roanoke Valley Chapter River trips, fishing, whitewater rafting, wilderness conservation, river stewardship. We are a diverse group of canoeists, kayakers and rafters.

Float Fishermen of Virginia is a local group of boaters and fishermen who gather together to promote river conservation, tackle access issues and share information, stories and pictures from paddling trips. We meet at the Green Goat Restaurant on the last Wednesday of each month. The meetings are a great place to meet other boaters and share stories! Come early to meet and talk with others. The me

Curtis here. I'm going to load up my truck and trailer with supplies and equipment and take them south on Thursday. If anyone in the Roanoke area has supplies they would like to donate please DM me for details. You can also venmo me . Pictured is a list of supplies that are needed. Other items that are needed are camping equipment (tents, sleeping bags, sheets, blankets), coolers, generators, chainsaws, phone chargers, gas cans, etc.

Chris is an awesome kid and a great paddler who lives down here in Mexico. He has been sending it with a 6-times welded phantom and a patched skirt. Both of which were completely destroyed yesterday while sending the 45-foot waterfall in the photo below. Please help him get a new boat and skirt so he can keep sending and growing the Mexican paddling community.
