🛷 US Red Velvet Racing is for the children …
Today was a special day. Team US Red Velvet Racing was invited to visit and talk all things toboggan racing with kindergarten students at Roanoke’s Oak Grove Elementary School. The questions were amazing, their interest was abundant, the art they created for us melted our hearts, and, most importantly, the smiles were omnipresent. In fact, the students were so intrigued, they asked if they could load-up on our toboggan in racing formation, just like we do every year competing in Maine. We were happy to oblige.
Some of these same students cheered us on from afar this past winter as Team US Red Velvet Racing competed in the , and today — just like then — they wore red in support of our team & dream. We are so grateful for their support.
As a special ‘thank you,’ we presented the class with the nose from one of our racing toboggans, which we salvaged after one of our sleds shattered at high speeds during our team’s final race of 2025. They loved it. And, we love them.
This is what it’s all about — smiles, connection and spreading that signature red-velvet love.
