It’s been far too long since we’ve played our friends - this Saturday we get back together at Highland Park in Roanoke at 1p. We honor the memory of James Carty by playing for the Carty Cup whenever River comes to town. In more recent Cups it has grown not only to remember James, but members of both clubs who we’ve lost too soon. It’s a 40+ year tradition and another thing about rugby that makes it the amazing sport it is.
