USA Two Day Summer Heat Runners Up. It was a long hot weekend but the girls worked together and had a great weekend. We are taking a couple weeks break from tournaments to work on a few things then we will be back at it playing on the 27th.

We are HEATING up for our June and July 10U tournaments before this team moves to 12U in August. We play local this weekend in Roanoke after coming off a strong finish in North Carolina last weekend.

The girls have been hard at work during our 2 weekend break from tournaments this month. They are working on the short game, throwing on the move, and lots of outfield work.
We velocity tested today in our overhand throws based off our High Level Throwing program. We welcomed a few more girls to the 40s Club! We also welcomed a new 50’s member to our Exit velocity club, welcome Gabby! Let’s Go!

Today we celebrate the LLG mom’s and grandmother’s. Thank you for bringing your player to and sitting through the long practices, and cheering and supporting them in their dreams! We are thankful for everything that you do that goes into tournament preparation. You all are the super stars from finding all the uniform pieces even those pesky socks that seem to go missing in the late hours of Friday night, to packing the cooler, and bringing the snacks and sunscreen. Thank you for being the biggest chearleaders for all the players! Y’all are the best! Happy Mother’s Day!

What a way to end our Championship Game!
Every practice we work on relays from the outfield, throwing through our cuts, covering our bases, working on our tags and making sure we are in our back up positions . While not all practices are fun and exciting it’s grinding out these little details that in the long run will win you the big games.
The fact that there was no hesitation with anyone, muscle memory took over, everyone went to the right spots, two great throws, on point communication with the cuts, a great tag at 3rd and a left fielder sprinting to the fence to back up third on the throw. It was a beautiful sight.
It’s really starting to come together for our group!

Silver Bracket Champions at the Spring Showdown in Covington yesterday! The girls are starting to get back in that softball grove. They went 3-1 on the day with big hits, smart base-running and impressive defensive stops.
These girls are the definition of a team. We are back at next Saturday in Christiansburg!
