Faye and Russell joined us again for some fishing today. Trolling was very slow so when i got down sourh I switched over to the drift an we started getting some nice fish. Mid tide the current picked up and the bite died, but we were due to head home so the timing was ok.

John joined us today with his son, we started out trolling but after an hour we only had 2 Bonita so we pulled the plug on that and went drift fishing. The bite was a little better here, with the boys landing grunts, sand tiles, and Lane Snappers. After an hour or so this bite died but it was time to head home anyhow !

Frank brought his college buddies out today, and it was an unusual day. We started out trolling and the weeds finally gave me a break but the fish were on strike ! We trolled for two hours and had one missed bite. Switching over to drift fishing, we started getting King Mackerel and bonita bites, so fast that as soon as i would throw out a rigged sardine, it would get bit. We were fishing 30 pound line on spinners so the charter had a blast. The bottom current was screaming but the guys had so much fun on the top water action, they didn’t care about the snappers. We headed back in on flat seas with big smiles !
