This week in our Emotional Intelligence SKILLZ, we are working on Awareness!

Why is awareness important? Having emotional awareness means we know what and how we are feeling. This helps us be able to ask for help and gives us a better roadmap to get back on track if we are feeling off!

Intentionally reinforcing the soft skills that martial arts teaches kids is imperative how we operate at Sidekicks so that our students can become their most powerful self.

Today and tomorrow students will work on SKILLZ 6. Students will get a shot at earning their WHITE skill stripe.
Early SKILLZ (3 and 4-year olds): ROLLING - this skill helps students work on developing hand-eye-coordination, core strength, spatial awareness, and control.
Basic SKILLZ (5 and 6-year olds): DISCIPLINE - this skill will help students follow directions, gain self-discipline, increase attention, and improve behavior.
Core SKILLZ (7 to 9-year olds): PERSEVERANCE - this skill helps students improve their ability to not give up physically, intellectually, emotionally, or socially while under pressure.
Extreme SKILLZ (10 and up): INSTINCT - this skill helps students develop the ability to know what to expect and how to respond to challenges.
Elite SKILLZ (Elite and Black Belts): SPEED DRILLS
