LABOR DAY MAYHEM 🇺🇸

Today was bigger than a practice.

Our room was packed with wrestlers from across the area, along with head coaches from Armwood, Morgan, Riverview, and Sumner and assistant coaches from Morgan, Riverview, Robinson, and Sumner.

Different schools. Different teams. Different colors.

But today, one wrestling community came together under one roof to train, learn, and make each other better.

That’s what growing wrestling in Hillsborough County looks like.

Attitude. Gratitude. Effort.
Built for others.

No medals today. No podiums. Just a room full of wrestlers choosing to get better.

Different schools. Different ages. Different goals. Same room. Same work. Same standard.

This is what Mayhem was built for. Creating opportunities, bringing wrestlers together, and building something bigger than any one athlete.

The Mayhem Girls brought home 3rd place at the Megatron Duals during Tampa Bay FitFest!

What makes this finish especially meaningful is that this is a truly homegrown team. These girls train together at Mayhem day in and day out—pushing one another, growing together, and building the trust that showed every time they stepped on the mat.

This wasn’t just a great group of wrestlers. It was a team in every sense of the word.

We are incredibly proud of these girls and everything they continue to build together!

Today, our boys competed in the Megatron Dual Tournament at FitFest Tampa Bay! After the competition, our team captains had the opportunity to connect with one of Mayhem’s longtime sponsors, LeHeal Biogenix.

One last time.

Last night, Ottawa University Wrestling commit Arron McCarty stepped on the mat with us and shared some of the technique that helped make him one of the best wrestlers in the state.

But Arron’s impact has never been measured only by what he can do on a wrestling mat.

Throughout his career, he has embodied everything we want Mayhem Wrestling to stand for: Attitude. Gratitude. Effort.

He works. He gives back. He makes the people around him better. And when younger wrestlers are watching, he understands the responsibility that comes with being someone worth watching.

A wrestler built for others.

We’re proud of the wrestler Arron has become, but even more proud of the young man he has become.

One last practice with Mayhem before the next chapter begins.

The best part of wrestling is passing it on.

Great clinic today with Mariah Mills, Hazuki Sykes, and Abby DiCenzo sharing their technique, experience, and time with the next group of wrestlers coming up.

Different schools. Different levels. Different wrestling backgrounds. One room, learning together.

That’s what these clinics are supposed to be. Not just collecting moves, but getting around people who have competed at a high level, asking questions, working through positions, and seeing what the next level looks like up close.

Thank you to Mariah, Hazuki, and Abby for giving back, and to everyone who came out and trained.

Keep learning. Keep sharing. Keep building.

BACK TO SCHOOL. BACK TO WORK.

For the entire month of August, Mayhem Wrestling Club is FREE for all Hillsborough County students.

No membership fee. No drop-in fee. Just come train.

Whether you’re an experienced wrestler getting ready for the high school season, a middle school athlete looking to improve, or someone who has never stepped on a wrestling mat before, you’re welcome in our room.

We believe wrestling should be accessible to kids who want to work, learn, and get better. Money should never be the reason a student can’t train.

Come see what Mayhem is about.
