He’s behind you in ways you can’t see.

Strength in your muscles.
Faith in your heart.
Clarity in your mind.

You still work.
You still grind.
You still empty the tank.

But you don’t carry the weight by yourself.

Pressure changes when you remember
Who stands with you.

“If God is with us, who can be against us?”

Not the opponent.
Not the moment.
Not the scoreboard.

Step on the line with belief.

You are supported.

Ephesians 6:12 reminds wrestlers that not every battle is visible.

On the mat, you face an opponent—but off the mat, there are mental, emotional, and spiritual battles that hit even harder.

Pressure, identity, doubt—those are real fights.

This verse shifts your perspective.

The struggle isn’t just physical.

And because of that, your strength can’t come from physical ability alone.

Your strength comes from him and him alone.

A foundation built on your own shoulders is weak, but a foundation built on faith? In the strength of our Lord rather than our own?

THAT is a foundation champions are built on.

12 “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

One day, you will wrestle your last match.

No more weigh-ins. No more bus rides. No more walking into a practice room that smells like hard work and nerves.

The singlet will get folded up, the headgear will be set down, and a chapter that shaped you will quietly close.

But what wrestling built inside you doesn't retire.
The discipline to do hard things when you don't feel like it.

The ability to stay composed under pressure. The understanding that improvement comes from daily effort, not occasional motivation. The respect for preparation, the humility in defeat, the confidence earned through suffering
- those tools travel with you into careers, relationships, and leadership.

Very few people ever get forged the way this sport forges you.

Wrestling ends.

Who it helped you become is just getting started.
