Our community is absolutely amazing! Please continue to keep these two amazing men in your thoughts! Thank you Kristen Paskett for all of your work on this!
Okay, this is always my favorite post and I have to admit my eyes get a little fuzzy every year as I write it....(I’m not crying, you’re crying.)
Riverton, you never cease to amaze me with the way you show up for your own. Every single year, rain or shine, or sideways snow like this year, you show up and prove that this is .
To the Wolverines. To the Lady Wolverines. To the students in pink. To the parents, grandparents, teachers, coaches, businesses, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and every single person who bought a shirt, bid in the auction, made a pledge, or stood on that sideline cheering their hearts out for Mike Becker and Cameron Cuttlers...thank you.
This was year FIVE of the Wolverine Pink Game. In the previous four years, this community raised an unbelievable $54,000. And this year, Riverton somehow raised the bar again. This year we are adding FIFTEEN THOUSAND dollars to that total. Actually, $15,246.55 to be exact.
Read that again.
More than fifteen thousand dollars raised by a community that refuses to let their people fight alone.
That number is incredible, but what matters even more is what it represents. It represents love. It represents support. It represents people showing up for neighbors, friends, classmates, former teammates, coworkers, and families who needed to feel the strength of an entire town standing beside them.
There are bigger schools. There are bigger towns. But I would put the heart of this community up against anyone.
Every year I think there is no way we can match the year before, let alone raise the bar, and every year Riverton proves me wrong. You continue to show what makes this town special. You continue to remind people that no one in this community fights alone.
To Mike and Cameron, I hope you know just how loved you are.
And to everyone who helped make this happen, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for making year five one we will never forget.
