Riverside Brookfield Age Group Gymnastics

For her recent birthday, Alex Jacobucci, of Brookfield, received quite a useful gift. She just recently earned three gold medals at Level 5 as one of four Riverside Brookfield age group gymnasts who competed at the Amateur Athletic Union Junior Olympics, Aug. 4-7, in Des Moines, Iowa.

“My aunt gave me a new medal display hanger so I plan to hang (the medals) in my bedroom. When I look at them, I am still shocked that these achievements are mine,” Jacobucci said. “This was my biggest achievement (in gymnastics). It surprised me to make it to Junior Olympics but it shocked me even more that I did as well as I did.”

Harper Coffelt of North Riverside, who won one title, Clara Giardini of Riverside and Bea Coyle of Brookfield also competed. Matilda Yanz of Riverside and Evelina Black of LaGrange Park also qualified via nationals, June 18-21 in Knoxville, Tennessee but did not compete.

✨ Our final session is in the books! 💙🖤
Our Level 6s stole the spotlight at the end of the competition! 😄 They convinced the video crew to put them up on the big screen, rocked the AAU flash mob dance, and closed out Nationals with so much energy and fun.
Highlights from the session:
🏅 Irene earned 4th Place on Vault with a 9.275.
🏅 Addie earned 3rd Place on Bars with a 9.15 and finished 4th All-Around with a 36.30.
🏅 Cadence’s top event was Vault with a 9.20.
🏅 Teeghan’s top event was Vault with an 8.95.
We’re so proud of this group’s hard work, team spirit, and the way they represented RB Gymnastics throughout Nationals. Congratulations on an amazing weekend! 💙🖤❤️🤍💙

Before the competition even began, Ava was out rocking the AAU Nationals flash mob dance! 💃💙
Friday morning, she took the competition floor for her very first AAU Gymnastics Nationals. Competing in a session all on her own, Ava showed confidence, determination, and represented RB Gymnastics with pride.
