Post for my dj and producer friends that experience back, neck or shoulder pain:
I have been in the profession of Pilates for about 6 years now and this whole time I have been thinking about YOU! My fellow djs and producers often complain of back/neck/shoulder pain and I have always wanted to produce and teach a workshop designed to help y’all out. I’ve decided to stop thinking about this and put this in motion!
My workshop will be hosted by Articulatons Pilates Studio in downtown Riverside. We will focus on dj/producer rig ergonomics, and Pilates exercises and stretches to help with better posture, decrease pain and increase range of motion/flexibility. The event will feature a live dj during lecture/workout and we will all have a chance to jump on the dj rig to work on ideal djing posture. Articulatons Pilates studio will provide drinks and refreshments 🍡🥂🍻.
This Pilates studio is very boutique-like and will only accommodate small groups (3-5) people per workshop. I was thinking it be ideal for a group of DJ friends to do it together and make a nice gathering for wellness between your buds. I am hoping to do several small-group workshops over the next couple of months, so please let me know if you and some of your buds are interested (inbox me or post in the comments)
Ps. Pilates is not just for girls, many male professional athletes do it (just incase any of you are feeling like Pilates is to weak/gentle for a man I will post some videos of some beefcakes doing Pilates).

Did you know that one of the cheapest ways to take Pilates is at a community college? It’s true, let’s look at the costs for 3 months of Pilates lessons:
Most studios charge $1,9800 to take 3 hours of Pilates per week, but it only costs $46 at Riverside City College! 😮 Unbelievable, right!?!? The cost is even cheaper if you have previously taken the class and enroll as an audit-student. Enrollment is open right now for the Fall semester, which starts at the end of next month. I’m teaching at two locations in the fall:
📍Norco campus: Mat Pilates on Tuesday/Thursday afternoon (2:30-3:55)
📍Riverside campus: Beginning Pilates on Tuesday/Thursday evening (6pm-7:25)

🧼🧹Giving my home-studio a deep cleaning. I have had my reformer for 8 years now and this is the first time I have lubed the rails up with WD40. 😳I didn’t know you are supposed to do this every now and again - I learned that last year while cleaning equipment at RCC 🐅 Hopefully one day I can afford to get this professionally serviced by the Pilates Guy 🤞
