Number 88 was roaming the bases in Rosemont on Tuesday afternoon just like she did all those years at Guerin. Hailey Jurasz (GP Class of 2018) scored the go-ahead run in Game 1 and the tying run in Game 2 helping Trinity Christian sweep their double header over Roosevelt by scores of 3-2 and 2-1. Great job, Hailey, and good luck to you and your teammates with the rest of your season.

Today, we remember the 2012 Class 3A Girls' Volleyball Regional Championship Team. The Gators won their second straight regional title on Oct. 25 with a sweep over Westinghouse at Holy Cross Gym. They would go on to knock off Latin in a three-set comeback thriller in the Sectional Semifinal on the 30th. Ten years ago tonight at Orr High School, the Gators were within reach of their first sectional title but fell just short in three sets to Resurrection. It was the fourth and final IHSA title in Guerin volleyball history (1977 District & 2008, 2011, & 2012 Regional Champions).
