It is bittersweet to share that Matt and I are officially retiring from baseball. After eight wonderful years, we feel it is the right time for us to let someone else have all the fun!
We are excited to transition leadership to Katie and the Village of River Grove. We have no doubt she will be phenomenal—just as she is with everything else she touches in the Village’s recreation programs.
Running this league has truly been an honor. We’ve met so many amazing families and made friendships that will last a lifetime. The experiences our family has had through this league are hard to put into words. While we feel a bit sad to say goodbye, we also feel a deep sense of pride in how far the league has come. It has grown and blossomed over the years, and we know it will continue to flourish under its new leadership.
A special thank you to Mayor Dave Guerin, the village employees and trustees, Brock Leder and the Public Works crew, RGFD and RGPD, and all of our amazing Sponsors through all these years. You were the support that made us able to run this league.
Thank you all, for your support, trust, and friendship. We will miss you more than you know!
Lora will still be in the background helping Katie with anything she needs but she will be the point of contact moving forward.
