If you want to see what a helmet looks like when it yields to force instead of resisting, play the video and slow it/stop it when it gets to impact..... then play it very slow.....watch the helmet in different locations as force is applied to the front of the helmet. Lastly, watch the movement of the "neck" at impact......

Our next phase is underway. Pouring/ injecting the helmets and retesting! 3d printed version showed the helmets geometry is outperforming many helmets currently in use, including in the NFL. Now to make " real" helmets and retest!

Even with our 3D printed prototype cracking during testing, we exceeded NOCSAE standards by as much as 75% on linear testing and 42% on rotational testing!!!

The cracking is an easily fixed design feature..... the exciting part is that the geometry works as we thought!!

So far so good..... our prototype cracked in one spot during testing; even with that failure of a layered 3d printed material, we are beating published standards by 75% for linear force and 35% for rotational force......

The day is here! Our first NOCSAE testing starts tomorrow at 9am. Wish us luck as we try to rattle some cages in the contact sports industry! If no one demands change, how does it happen! Football is about to get much safer!

October 19 is fast approaching! Weve waited a couple years to get to this point, and it is here! Our first generation helmet, The Calvarum Blitz, will be undergo linear and rotational force testing at a NOCSAE certified lab. We will post our results as soon as they are available. Stay tuned!

Another prototype part being printed. PLA is the filament and, while not strong enough for our use, gives a ton of information about how we can build a stronger, lighter and safer helmet as far as dissipating force! October 19 is our test date! Stay tuned!
