This week’s Kevin Bonnette State Farm Rison Wildcat Player of the Week is junior pitcher and shortstop Noah Matheson.

In two games last week, Matheson recorded 14 strikeouts, allowing just three hits, one walk and no earned runs. He also contributed at the plate with three hits and three walks.

Matheson reached a major milestone in the Wildcats’ game against McGehee, recording his 200th career strikeout.

This marks the fourth time this season Matheson has been selected as Player of the Week by the Rison coaching staff. He is pictured with Rison assistant coach Kyle Thaxton.

Matheson is committed to continue his baseball career at Texas A&M–Texarkana.
