Here’s one that’s headed to the great state of Michigan. A simple but classy 1/4 rough out wade with no tooling and blue buck rolls with white piping and white boot stitching. Been a long time coming but it will be well worth the wait. Michelle Lynn Suarez was having a hard time fitting her red roan gelding. I sent the tree out to insure fit before I built the saddle. If you’re having a hard time fitting your horse I can help. Thank you Michelle for the order.

Chocolate saddles have been pretty popular the last little while. Here’s a cool chocolate 1/2 breed lady Wade coming in at 30 lbs, with a San Carlos border and a Hamley No. 8 flower carving. Built on a Randy Alexander 58 wade tree.

Thank you Katy Fitzgerald for your business. This was a fun build. I’m calling this my cowhorse wade. It’s built on a wade tree with the performance horse in mind. Deep ground seat, close contact skirts with free and full leg swing fenders. Coming in right at 30lbs fully rigged. This was built to her horse on my foundation bars that fit the foundation bred cowhorses extremely well.

We had a good saddle fitting clinic this weekend. Thanks Rose Ridge Arena and Mattie Worton for having me come out. It was a lot of fun, met some good people and learned something new.

I’m excited Rose Ridge Arena invited me to do this clinic. It’s one of the nicest facilities in the area Mattie is doing a great job educating the local equine community. What’s good for the horse is good for the rider. Come on out it’s going to be fun!

We will cover how your saddle fit affects your horses body and movement, best placement for your saddle, how to check for proper saddle fit, guidelines for what to look for in a quality saddle and so much more.

I often get asked about my company name and the brand in the middle of my makers mark. The Diamond Question Mark brand was a brand that my grandfather designed for his livestock. He took pride in his cattle and sheep all had to meet a criteria of quality traits in order to pack the brand. I have been fortunate enough to have this brand passed down to me. I too have a criteria for the quality of saddles and horses that pack the brand now. This picture I feel embodies just that. The gelding pictured is carrying one of my custom saddles, he is a 5 year old gelding out of my first stud, Docs Twisting Charm, I felt he had the traits I was looking for in offspring, specifically disposition and conformation and athleticism. At 5 years old he wears a 2 shoe on all 4, can run a hole in the wind and work a cow like a little horse.

If you buy a saddle from me or a horse I want you to be just as proud of the brand and the history as I am.
