Six athletes from the Ripon Youth Wrestling Club have qualified and earned the impressive honor of competing in the youth state wrestling tournament, showcasing their hard work and dedication throughout the season. Traxton Weir dominated at 51 pounds, while K**a Augustine secured a spot at 60 pounds with strong performances on the mat. Lio Augustine followed suit at 66 pounds, demonstrating skill and determination in every match. Quinlyn Cross battled through tough competition to qualify at 80 pounds, and Braxton Baker earned his place at 84 pounds with consistent effort and resilience. Rounding out the group, Anthony Logan clinched his state qualification at 85 pounds. Together, these six wrestlers represent the strength and spirit of the Ripon Youth Wrestling Club, and they are head to state as a team!
Just as important to the team’s success are the athletes who fought hard but came up just short of qualifying, including Conner Anderson, Josephine Logan, Logan McGinness, and Jordyn Wodogaza. Their effort, perseverance, and willingness to compete at a high level played a huge role in pushing their teammates and strengthening the entire program. Together, this group represents the heart, determination, and bright future of the Ripon Youth Wrestling Club.
