Three straight weekends.
Three opportunities to compete.
After traveling the last two weekends to Farmington and Oklahoma City, our team has logged approximately 1,454 miles on the road in the first two weeks of summer. Now we’re back home and ready for another challenge at the inaugural Fastpitch 1 College Classic in Rio Rancho.

We’re excited to be part of the first FP1 tournament held in New Mexico and especially excited for the 1 hour 45 minute time-limit format. Those game lengths do a much better job of showing how prepared teams really are, rewarding ex*****on, depth, and in-game adjustments rather than allowing teams to simply manage the clock to their advantage.

We’re also proud to be one of the youngest teams competing in the 18U Showcase Division, featuring athletes from the graduating classes of 2029, 2030, and 2031. Every inning against older competition is another opportunity to learn, grow, and raise our standard.

Next stop: Cleveland High School.

Road to the Show starts now. 🥎🔥

This weekend marks our first trip to Oklahoma as a team, and we’re excited to hit the road together and compete at the 6th Annual Road to the Show in Shawnee, OK.

For this out-of-state event, we’re bumping down to 14U and looking forward to competing against some talented, high-caliber teams we haven’t seen before. New competition. New environment. Same standard.

Proud of this group and excited to see how we respond all weekend long.

🚨🚨 Schedule Update 🚨🚨

One week from today, our girls hit the field for the first time this summer and officially begin the 2026 Summer season. 🥎

Over the next two months, this team will travel 3,374 miles chasing competition, growth, and opportunities to compete against some of the best teams in the country. Every mile, every game, and every inning is part of the journey.

We’re excited to open the summer at the 26th Annual Kathy Rouse Tournament, where we’ll be competing up at the 18U level for a strong tune-up heading into the rest of the season.

🥇Undefeated Champs, going 5-0 on the weekend, our team brought home the gold and captured another championship at the Sam Delgado Summer Blast. What makes this even more special is that this marks our second time finishing in 1st place in this tournament. Last season as a second-year 10U team, and now again as a first-year 12U team. The growth, resilience, and maturity this group continues to show is something special to witness.

This weekend was a complete team effort from top to bottom. We saw explosive hitting, lockdown defense, aggressive base running, clutch pitching, and countless moments where teammates picked each other up. Every girl contributed, and every girl competed.

More importantly, this weekend was about more than wins and medals. It was about learning life lessons, overcoming challenges together, supporting one another, and continuing to build the culture that defines our team. Our girls understand that our biggest expectation is simple: COMPETE. And when they compete with confidence, toughness, and togetherness, great things happen.

We couldn’t be more proud of this group and the way they represented Athletics Mercado on and off the field. The fight, energy, and love they play with never goes unnoticed.

Join us tomorrow as we hit the field for the Sam Delgado Summer Blast in Roswell, NM! Bracket play starts immediately after pool games, so it’s shaping up to be a long Saturday full of competition and hustle.

Summer is almost here and we’re hitting the road. 🥎✈️

Our squad is gearing up for a packed travel schedule, taking on top competition across multiple states in a short stretch. We will compete in 18U while in NM, and go down to 14U while out of state. This is where growth happens—challenging ourselves, competing at a high level, and continuing to raise our standard every weekend.

All games will be streamed live on Athletes Go Live, so family, friends, and supporters can follow the journey from anywhere.

Our athletes are especially excited for the opportunity to finally connect in person with the college coaches they’ve been building relationships with—this is what the grind is all about.

These girls showed up ready to compete every single game. The championship matchup was a true nail-biter, coming down to just one run.

Our coaching staff couldn’t be more proud, not just for how they performed on the field, but how they supported each other and grew stronger as a team throughout the weekend.
