Both Rio Linda Lady Knights teams secured wins Friday against Lower Lake Trojans!
Varsity Highlights:
- 10 Runs in the 4th Inning.
- 12 Stolen Bases including 3 from Alexa Mendoza (2B), 1 each fromm Bre Adams (3B), Peyton Placencia (LF) and Brook Meadows
- Kiera Waggoner- lefty pitcher threw a 5 inning no hitter, facing 16 batters; triple drove in 2 runs
- Liv Johnson (SS)- 3 SB's; one double scored 1 run; 3 RBIs
- Lilly Rouse (C)- went 2 for 3 including a double; 1 Run, 1 RBI
- Izzy Moen (RF)- 2 RBI's; 2 Runs

JV highlights include:
- Chloee McCalley (SS)- In the Park Home Run- 5 Runs, 1 RBI- 3 Walks; 2 SB
- Bailey Weinholdt (P)- 2 for 2 with 2 RBIs; 1 run and 7 K's facing 39 batters
- Layla McCormack (C)- 2 for 2 with 6 RBIs
- Lilly McCain (1B)- 3 Runs; 1 SB

THE LADY KNIGHTS TAKE THE WIN IN A THRILLER! ⚔️🔥

What a battle under the lights! The Knights fought hard against Chico never giving up! Patience at the plate in the last inning, along with smart base running sealed the deal when Senior Nakayla Williams drove in two runs pulling off a clutch win!!

Shoutout to The Lady Knights for their grit- this team doesn’t back down from a challenge! They are 2-0 going into their game on Saturday, March 1 vs Kimball (Tracy).
