Capitol Quarter Midget Association: End-of-Year Alumni Car Show & Demo

Event Details:

Date: October 11, 2026

Location: CQMA Track 800 G street Rio Linda, CA 95673

Purpose: To celebrate the final race of the year and honor all the incredible kids moving up in the racing world.

Calling All CQMA, AQMA, TVQMA, Good Times, and Baylands Alumni!

From the historic bullrings to the Baylands days and every track in between—let’s bring back those classic racing memories!

Are you a former quarter midget driver from CQMA, AQMA, TVQMA, Good Times, Baylands, or any of our legendary regional clubs who has graduated to your next big racing adventure? We want you back where it all started!

Join us for a special car show and on-track demonstration during our final race of the season. Bring your current race car, share your racing journey with the next generation of kids chasing their dreams, and reconnect with the community that watched you take your very first green flag.

Schedule of Events 
Class Running order Red Rookie, Blue Rookie, Jr Honda, Sr Honda, Hvy Honda, Lt 160, Hvy 160, Jr Animal, Lt World

Saturday : Practice-Heat-Heat-Main
- Open practice 8:00-9:30am
- Sign Ins 8:30 – 9:30am
- Pit meeting 10:00am
- Heat 1 all classes will start after pit meeting. (includes 2 minute practice)
*1 hour break*
- Heat 2 all classes
*2 hour Dinner break*
All mains  will start at 7:00pm
- Trash pickup / track cleanup

Heat race finishing points plus passing points (USAC/NASCAR Youth Format) will set main event line ups with top point earner starting on the pole.

All engines must be sealed directly after Heat 1

All other USAC/NASCAR Youth rules apply

Sunday : Qualifying-Heat-Main
- Sign Ins 8:30 – 9:30am
- Pit Meeting 10:00am
- Qualifying (best of 5 laps) starts directly after pit meeting
**30 minute lunch break after qualifying**
- Heats
* Break*
- Mains
- Trash pickup / track cleanup
- Awards for Saturday & Sunday
 
Manual pill draw will set the qualifying order
Qualifying will be 5 laps all on the clock
Heat race line ups will be set straight up based off of qualifying results with top qualifier starting on the pole.
Heat race finishing points plus passing points (USAC/NASCARYouth Format) will set main event line ups with top point earner starting on the pole.
 
All engines must be sealed directly after qualifying.
Top qualifier of each division will need to report to impound at end of event.
Non qualifiers or “no time” will start at the tail of the heat race
All other USAC/NASCAR Youth rules apply

Fuel - The official race fuel is 87 octane unleaded gasoline from Arco AM/PM at 3140 Elkhorn Blvd, North Highlands, CA 95660.
