“I thought I’d solved a problem when really I was creating new ones by taking the path of least resistance.”
“Always be willing to embrace ignorance and become the dumb f**k in the classroom again, because that is the only way to expand your body of knowledge and body of work. It’s the only way to expand your mind.”
Can’t Hurt Me by David Gogging is the best wake up call I could’ve asked for. A guy who was born into a terrible situation, self made into the hardest motherf**ker on the planet. You get to better understand the body, the mind and life as a whole throughout the stories of a retired Navy Seal. During this quarantine, I couldn’t have picked a better book to read. If you feel stagnant with your current situation, there is ALWAYS more you can be doing.

100 Miles in the books.

Finished it in style with a 5.37 mile run, which is the furthest I’ve run since September. 100 miles might not seem like a lot for some people, but these 100 were all from July 2K19 until today. Coming from zero experience of endurance training, I feel pretty good about this, with many more to come.

Throughout this run I stopped 3 or so times to text and about what I was feeling and what I can possibly do to fix the problem.. Being that my mile times were getting faster as I went, I guess it worked. It might feel like magic, but apparently they’re just smart 🤷🏻‍♂️

“Don’t tell people how to do things, tell them what to do and let them surprise you with their results.”

Shoe Dog by Phil Night is easily the best story I’ve ever read. From being a terrible salesman out of school to owning one of the most well known clothing companies in the world. So many ups and downs, so many hurdles and so much doubt from the people around him. The book is about 400 pages and I finished in about a week. It was the perfect way to start the quarantine with some extra motivation. I highly highly recommend this book to anyone interested in business or just looking for an incredibly told underdog story.

“Reading is to the mind, what exercise is to the body.” - Richard Steele

Throughout my life I have always been an avid reader. When I was a kid, if I wasn’t reading a book, I was writing my own (I still have some of them today). If you ask my parents what I wanted to be when I was a kid, they would tell you an author. When college rolled around, I fell into the mindset of reading being a chore instead of a gift. Sometimes, even if you are forced to do something you love to do, you might not feel like doing it anymore. Luckily in the past year, I have gotten back to consistent reading. Now, if I go a day without reading I feel stagnant.

The second picture is all of the books that I am currently reading. I like to choose different genres so that if I get bored I can switch to a different one until I am excited about it again. The third picture is some of my favorite books that I’ve read in the past. Some of them I’ve read more than once. The last picture is some of the books I plan to read on 2020 (Those and about 50 more).

Everything you want to know is in a book, you just need to find it.

Dear The People of Instagram,

Movember has become a well known trend over the past few years, but many people don’t know the reasoning behind it. Growing a mustache is only one way to raise awareness for men’s health issues. Movember funds projects world wide to help bring light to and combat prostate and testicular cancer, as well as other men’s health issues. While we love our mustaches, and I have additionally started a fundraiser through the Movember website. Our goal is to raise awareness and funds to aid in Movembers efforts to keep men living longer and happier lives. The link to donate to Movember is in my bio. Any size donation will help! To make this experience more fun for everyone, Mark and I will be posting funny, well known, cropped pictures on our story every day for the rest of Movember.

Thank You,
The Mo Bro’s

On my final set of a 4x6 at 285 pounds, I decided to throw on some Irish fight music and hit a relatively easy 8 reps 🍀... Oh and this was paired with 4x6 on low handle deadlifts at 395 pounds, with a 3 minute rest in between rounds... Operation sexy update coming soon

Been learning A LOT lately about the body and the ranges of motion that you should be able to achieve without compensation. You can have all the “Brain Gains” in the world, but that means nothing if you don’t apply it to the real world. Today I got to see how far off my numbers are from where I want them to be.

Being able to see the numbers helps to give me a visual of what I need to do to fix the problem. Of course, with a huge help from the brilliant people around me . Hoping to post some improved numbers in the near future. I gotsalotta work to do
