That’s a wrap on the ACA Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series National Championship. It was not the results we were after but it was a great opportunity for our Anglers and program.

Pacing the way was the team of Cameron Burgess and Tyler Eggers who finished the event 162nd while closely behind was the team of Simon Inboden and Zack Burroughs in 168th. Also competing in the event for the Redstorm was the team of Noah Cremeens and Coen Davis

Thank you for our Redstorm parent following this week and all of our followers back home keeping up with our Anglers. A BIG SHOUTOUT to Bradley and Tanya Cremeens for keeping the team fed up this week and also taking us all out for dinner as it is greatly appreciated. The Redstorm will next be back in action a little closer to home on East Fork Lake to fish the Ohio Bass Nation State Qualifier June 13th.

A Big Thank you for all of the love and support for our Anglers and program as it is greatly appreciated!

Day 1 is in the books for the University of Rio Grande Bass Fishing Team and we are looking to finish strong tomorrow. The team of Cameron Burgess and Tyler Eggers were able to weigh 3 fish for 8.95lbs sitting in 139th while Simon Inboden and Zack Burroughs had 4 fish for 8.56lbs in 143rd. Tomorrow is a new day with much of the same conditions in the forecast so it is time to make adjustments and solid on the water decisions to finish this thing out strong.

The 2026 Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series National Championship kicks off today with a full field of 220 Teams. Take Off starting at 6:00 Central on Pickwick lake Florence, Alabama. The two day event is shaping up to be an interesting one as all of official practice it was your typical Alabama heat and dry air and now come tournament time let the rains begin and Bring on the Storm!

University of Rio Grande Bass Fishing Team has 3 teams competing and are looking to capitalize on several key areas they found in practice and some of the lake knowledge they have each acquired from previous trips here. Help wish these Anglers Big Fish Vibes and Safety on the water as we will keep you posted here on our page!

It was an exciting week this week for the University of Rio Grande Bass Fishing Team as we added our first angler to the fall 2026 class. Please help us welcome aboard Gavin Jean from Zane Trace high school. Gavin‘s love for the outdoors and passion for fishing is truly remarkable. We are looking forward to watching him develop on the water and watching his successes in the classroom.

The end of the school year is always a busy one for our Anglers with Assignments, Finals, projects and trying to squeeze some time in on the water. This past weekend we had several Anglers drive over to Indiana and jump in the Indiana Bass Nation College State Qualifier.
Simon Inboden and Mason Everts were able to finish 8th 12.92lbs while Grady Dunn and Colsen Oyer had 5.34lbs and Zack Burroughs and Alexander Mccarty finished with 2.16lbs

A bit late on this one but We would like to send Happy belated Birthday wishes out to one of our Anglers Simon Inboden , currently in his 2nd semester for the Redstorm! Simon’s passion for being on the water and learning every chance he gets has become very noticeable and we are looking forward to his success in the classroom and also watching him succeed on the water.

We would like to send Happy Birthday wishes out to one of our Anglers Alexander Mccarty , currently in his 8th semester for the Redstorm and graduating with his Sports and Exercise degree this Spring! Alex plays a big role on campus when he is not on the water as he is a Head Resident Assistant and works as a Student Ambassador for our Admissions Department.
