Smoke Show on the Frio 2026 can.

Join us November 13-14, 2026, as cook teams from across Texas head to Clearwater Ranch & Resort to compete in a Texas State Championship BBQ competition on the beautiful Frio River.

The smoke will be rolling.
The music will be playing.
The river will be flowing.

There’s just something about a river sandwich that tastes better than any restaurant ever could. 🌊🥪😂

Maybe it’s because you’ve been swimming all morning. Maybe it’s because your mom made it. Maybe it’s because the chips are a little crushed, the bread’s a little soggy, and somebody’s yelling, “Don’t throw all your crust to the fish!” from 20 feet away.

But somehow… sitting on the bank with wet feet, sunburned shoulders, and a sandwich in your hand just feels like summer.

Sometimes the universe doesn’t send you a sign. Sometimes it sends you a rainbow over Clearwater Ranch. 🌈🌳

Maybe this is your reminder to finally plan that family trip. To unplug a little. To let the kids stay outside until the lightning bugs come out. To sit by the river, laugh too hard, grill too much food, and make the kind of memories everybody talks about years later.

There’s just something about pulling into the Frio Canyon on a motorcycle that feels right. 🏍️🌄

Maybe it’s the curves of the Three Twisted Sisters. Maybe it’s the river air. Maybe it’s the fact that every biker eventually ends up atBent Rim Grill or Frio Canyon Motorcycle Stop. Honestly, we don’t make the rules… it’s just part of the trip. 😂

And when the ride’s over for the day, Clearwater Ranch & Resort has a place for you to kick your boots off. Stay in one of our cabins, pull your RV and trailer into one of our full hookup sites, or keep it simple in one of our bunkhouses right by the river.

Cold drinks. Hot roads. Deep water. Good people.
