Susquehanna University English Equestrian Team The Susquehanna University Equestrian Team is a sport that is available to all students of all level Team members do not have to show to be a part of the team!

The Susquehanna University Equestrian Team is a club sport that is available to all students of all levels of riding experience. This co-ed team rides English and competes with the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) against other universities in Zone 3 Region 1. The English riding team trains at Liberty Line Farm in Milton, PA under the direction of trainer Mackenzie Appleman. Members c

an take lessons whenever they want if they do not plan on showing. All team members are required, however, to help with fundraising a few times per semester. Members are required to attend weekly team meetings on campus. Any questions please contact- [email protected]

Meet Red – A True Favorite at Liberty Line Farm!

Red is a cherished member of our barn family — a chestnut Thoroughbred with a heart of gold and a quiet strength that makes him the perfect teacher for riders of all ages and skill levels. As a cornerstone of our lesson program and a trusted partner for the Susquehanna University English Equestrian Team, Red has played an essential role in developing confident, capable equestrians.

Last year, Red faced a significant challenge when he sustained a suspensory injury, requiring six months of stall rest and rehabilitation. Thanks to dedicated care, treatment, and his own incredible resilience, Red began his return to work this February.

Since then, he’s continued to inspire and educate — especially those getting in the saddle for the very first time. His patience, kindness, and experience make him a go-to for beginners and a beloved presence in our barn.

We’re beyond grateful to have Red back doing what he loves and sharing his gift with our riders every day!

Last Saturday, we had a great time at our end of year party! Coach Mackenzie gave out her superlatives to the team and we had dinner all together one last time! We said goodbye to our seniors who we will miss tons! Special thank you to Coach Mackenzie and Coach Maddie for another great season!
