2 weeks ago we were petrified of everything - now we are zen, understanding our body more , and staying in the correct nervous system for longer periods of time.
tinzley and pickles (2) have been putting in some serious mental work and both horse and rider are transforming.

Once you understand it’s not your horse spooking at a sunbeam, or umbrella, or a ball. It’s that your horse is in the wrong nervous system to learn and retain information. The focus must be on finding the correct nervous system time and time again and slowly increasing the amount we ask for. Once our horses can find relaxation, and our aids can create it, the horse suddenly isn’t worried about all the things we thought he was afraid of. Leadership means safety, safety means we can be in the correct nervous system. So ask yourself constantly - am i providing good leadership? Often our answer lies there .

Pickles first time in the 2ft . It’s really fun to feel a young horse discovering their ability, and really enjoying their job. I think this describes this beautiful mare to a tee. Her progress everytime she steps into the arena over fences amazes me. 6 months ago she truly didn’t know how to jump. I don’t believe in over facing young horses . I believe it’s always better to go too slow than too fast. And the progression for Pickles has been exactly what she has needed. Her fitness has really progressed in the short time we have had her, and her temperament is calm and brave.

Afterwards I enjoyed a hack on my big bear 🐻 and I can truly say it’s been a wonderful birthday thus far thanks to my wonderful horses and clients and horse community!

Pickles and Osito had such a fun school today at Jacey Ellis beautiful farm today. It was an open schooling day and a wonderful opportunity to get baby pickles out to school some fences and ride outside in the open.
The bear school a couple flying changes, and was the usual soul candy.
