Sometimes you just gotta look around at everything you’ve built and just take it all in, breathe it in. I loving having my bear in the back field now. His face every time he sees me, his nickers, his warmth, his soul. I’m so lucky to have a best friend like him.

Groundwork should feel like an effortless dance. But this beautiful dance can only be accomplished through time, listening, and working at it slowly and consistently. Groundwork is remarkable tool that is the foundation of communication between horse and rider. Horses only understand having their bodies pushed around like the herd does, not pulled around. And when safe leadership has been established, it unlocks new doors. Relaxed horses that enjoy their job hear messages with subtle effort.

I spy a very cute baby👀 Ivy arrived yesterday and will be spending the next three months here being started undersaddle.
I love the first sessions with a horse because it’s a floodgate of information about my new equine friend and its also the first opening of communication between us and it’s so fun to see them have their first moments of letting their guard down with you. Follow Ivys journey as she learns all the things ❤️

Big mama had a spa day and a training ride and is ready to go to a clinic with her mama Brittany Shultz this weekend ❤️

Big mama in her mid-late twenties but looking so good 😍 we just love this big girl ! Seeing her droopy lips daily and hearing her nickers in the barn is something I look forward to every day.

Maggie - left photo was arrival in march, right photo right after she departed in August .

We sure do miss her and her mama who are back at vet school- but we enjoyed their time here so much and as a trainer I just find Maggie to be such an incredible little horse ❤️❤️
