Floating the Uncompahgre is a summer must for Ridgway visitors and locals! This year, it’s ready earlier than usual. With a shorter float season ahead, don’t wait to get on the water!

Put in: Rollans Park (just steps from ). We’ll help you choose the best float length and vessel based on current conditions - whether you’re looking for a quick, mellow 30-minute float or a longer adventure all the way to the reservoir when water levels permit.

A few friendly reminders: Respect fellow river users, anglers, and riverside neighbors. Check conditions before you float, wear your PFD, pack out your trash, and leave no trace.

🏞️ Don’t let the rain clouds fool you; we’re in for a sunny Labor Day Weekend! ☀️

Celebrate our last official weekend of summer by getting outside and exploring the San Juans and Cimarrons! Spend the day on the Ridgway Reservoir, hike up to Courthouse Rock, catch live music in town, or get gussied up for the rodeo! However you celebrate, we’re sure you’ll have a blast!
