Weights are heavy.

Gravity doesn’t care what you’re wearing.

If you’re training in slides, slippers, flip-flops, or footwear that belongs at the beach, in the bedroom, or checking the mail...you may want to rethink your life choices. 😆

We’re not the Fashion Police.

Wear what you want.

Just understand that if a staff member notices footwear that might not be the best choice for lifting heavy things, we’re probably going to say something.

We’d really like everyone to leave Force with the same number of toes they arrived with.

Stay safe. Train hard.

I had someone tell me recently that something I said to them pulled them out of a really dark hole.
I had no idea.

To me, it was just a normal conversation. They told me they were having trouble getting to the gym, having trouble working out, having trouble getting motivated… just feeling stuck.

What I didn’t know was that they were going through some real stuff. They were getting depressed. They were slipping deeper. And the less they moved, the worse they felt.

So I told them the truth.

“I know it’s hard. But you have to show up.”
The difference between people who do things and people who don’t is usually not motivation.
It’s not a perfect plan.
It’s not waiting until life gets easier.
The difference is simple:
Some people actually do the damn thing.

Working out does not require motivation.
It requires discipline.
You don’t need to be fired up to walk through the door.
You don’t need to feel amazing.
You don’t need to be in the mood.
You need to show up especially when you don’t want to.
That is where the win is.
I told them, “Stop overthinking it. Get to the gym. Just go. Stop being a P$ #@! and get to the gym.”

Apparently, that helped.
So if you’re reading this and you feel stuck, heavy, unmotivated, or like you’re digging yourself into a hole, here’s your sign:

Get 3 workouts in.
Not perfect workouts.
Not beast-mode workouts.
Not movie montage workouts with dramatic lighting and thunder in the background.
Just 3 workouts.
Even if they’re half-assed.
Walk in. Lift something. Move around. Sweat a little. Drink water. Eat something decent after. Thats it…one down.

Honestly? Screw ur motivation!
Motivation is unreliable. Motivation is a flaky friend who says they’re coming and then ghosts you.
Discipline shows up.
So get up. Get moving. Get back in the gym.
You may not feel like doing it.
Do it anyway.

This Saturday, our Tier 2 members are about to work their butts off — for a damn good reason.

We’ll be taking on Murph in honor of Lt. Michael P. Murphy, a Navy SEAL from Long Island who gave everything in service to this country.

The workout:

1 Mile Run
100 Pull-Ups
200 Push-Ups
300 Squats
1 Mile Run

Yes… it’s as fun as it sounds.
No… your legs will not forgive you immediately.

But that’s the point.

Murph isn’t just a workout. It’s a reminder. A reminder to push harder, complain less, and take a moment this Memorial Day weekend to honor the people who didn’t come home.
