With the rut barreling down on us soon the deer activity is starting to rise.Here’s the caping video again. Keep your taxidermist happy by caping your trophy the correct way. It makes things a lot easier for them if you cape it yourself before bringing it to them. Thanks and good luck.

With the rut going in to full swing and rifle season just around the corner I wanted to post this video again. If you are going to cape out your own deer it is vary important to do it the right way. When a buck is caped out wrong it can add a lot of unneeded work for your taxidermist and sometimes the cape cannot be used causing extra cost for the customer if they need to buy a new cape. I was looking through trail camera pictures last night and this buck showed up several times during daylight over the last week. My wife told me I should go out hunting this morning. So I did and it payed off. My biggest bow buck. 8pt with a sticker off the base and one broke off the main beam. 20 1/4” spread.
